ÇEKMEKÖY HOUSING COMPOUND NO: 2 - Istanbul
In the very beginning of 2002 the client asked
us to prepare a design for a land located on the main road to
Çekmeköy, one of the new residential regions of Istanbul.
The area has a sloping topography starting from the road to the
east boundry of the site, which is surrounded by a forest.
The housing compound is composed of 14 villas
with typical plans, each 3 storey and 330 m2 closed area. Our
cause of concern was not to show the villas as three story, so
the plan was set back at the staircase axis and developed in accordance
with the existing slope. All the living spaces are directed to
the forest view and lots of open and closed living alternatives
were created in the plan.
Club building, administration, closed
swimming pool, tennis court, technical buildings are the auxiliary
facilities of the project.
