AKBANK CALL CENTRE IN MASLAK - Istanbul
Akbank decided to have a
new and contemporary call centre facilities for the credit card
department, due to the increasing number of card holders and accordingly
bought two existing buildings in Maslak to be renovated as their
new call centre. The buildings are 14 and 15 stories, including
their basements and they were connected to each other at the second
basement floor.
During the space allocation studies two main
factors were considered; working hours of the staff and the existing
heights of the spaces. Total number of the personnel was around
800 and half of it was working in the departments which are giving
24 hour service. After the negotiations with the client, it is
decided to collect the departments working 24 hours in one building
and the rest in the other one. All the department offices were
solved as open space area, but the meeting and manager rooms were
seperated by double glaze partitions with horizontal blinds in
between.
Apart from the office areas there were
several production departments such as cheque printing and credit
card manufacturing centers. The rest of the program was composed
of a dining hall, cafeteria, conference hall, child care unit,
computer centre, entrance halls, parking spaces, automation, security
units and technical rooms. Both entrance halls are controlled
by security lobbies furnished with X-ray machines and magnetic
arches, following this control all the staff and visitors will
enter the elevator lobbies through the card controlled security
gates.
