MOSQUE IN JEDDAH - Saudia Arabia
The area is located at northeren Cornish of Jeddah, behind the Cornish
Housing Compound and the design was prepared upon request of Advanced
Engineering Projects Est. from Jeddah, for a bid.
Eight cornered plan comes out of two
squares, with the same center and one of them twisted 45 degrees.
External walls are sloping and there is an octagonal skylight
at the middle of the plan. The mosque is surrounded by an ablution
area covered with arches and beams and the minaret is a separate
unit, composed of two parts, each with different height and triangle
section.
